There are more than 20 Alaska airports<\/strong> with scheduled flights. More specifically, Anchorage Airport is the only medium hub <\/em>airport, while there are 26 small hub<\/em> and nonhub <\/em>airports.<\/em> A lot of the airports are connected to West Coast and Midwest destinations. All the bigger ones, like Anchorage and Fairbanks Airport, can handle all airplane sizes. Alaska Airlines is the most common carrier, but there are also other, regional airlines such as Warbelow’s Air Ventures and RavnAir operating at Alaska airports. Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport<\/strong> is a medium-hub airport located 8 km southwest of Anchorage city. Airport is a hub for Alaska Airlines, PenAir <\/strong>and RavnAir<\/strong>. Besides domestic flights, there are seasonal departures to some of the European destinations. Seattle and Portland are among the most common destinations from Anchorage airport. Route 40<\/a> connects Anchorage with the airport. Taxis and car rentals are also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fairbanks International Airport <\/strong>serves the city of Fairbanks in Central Alaska. Airport is located some 9 km from the city downtown. Yellow line is the public bus route connecting the airport and the city. There are also car rentals and taxis on site. FAI airport is a hub for EvertsAir and Warbelow\u2019s Air, but also has flights by major airlines like United and Delta. Seattle and Anchorage are top destinations from Fairbanks airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juneau International Airport<\/strong> is located in Southern Alaska, about 12.5 km from Juneau city. Airport offers mostly regional flights operated by Alaska Airlines<\/strong> and (seasonally) Delta Airlines<\/strong>. Seattle is the most connected city with Juneau Airport. There are several ways of reaching Juneau city. However, Capital Transit public transport is the most common choice. Alternatively, you can use taxis and car rental services too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
