The breathtaking buildings encompass hundreds of years of extraordinary Vietnamese architecture, from spiritual sanctuaries to old cities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#2a2a2a\">Citadel of the Ho Dynasty<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Citadel <\/strong>was built in the twilight of the 14th century, architecturally following the <strong>feng shui principles<\/strong>. Particularly, the buildings in this style have a layout that enables the free flow of <strong>Qi energy<\/strong>. The Citadel is not only a stunning architectural work but also a staple of the time when <strong>neo-Confucianism <\/strong>spread throughout the country. Furthermore, there are also two walls &#8211; <strong>Hao Thanh and La Thanh <\/strong>&#8211; built to protect the complex. It lies in the valley of the <strong>Red River<\/strong>, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/Traveling.com\/en\/blog\/hanoi-airport\/\">Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi<\/a>. Interestingly, the sector has throughout the centuries been the centre and symbol of political power. The site is quite vast. Not only is the building beautiful, but there are also many interesting museums that tell some very interesting aspects of Vietnamese history. Specifically, Hue became the centre of political power and the capital in 1802. Also nicknamed <em><strong>The Imperial City<\/strong>, <\/em>Hue is located in the heart of Vietnam &#8211; in its geographical centre, to be exact. Namely, UNESCO recognised the importance and beauty of the town\u2019s historic centre and declared it a World Heritage Site in 1999. Furthermore, the port was especially significant and powerful from the 15th until the 19th century. During that period, the town was under many influences &#8211; both native and foreign. The heavy influence of Hinduism is present in the sanctuary\u2019s architecture, specifically in its temples. Although it is not in active use, it serves as a reminder of the time the <strong>Champa <\/strong>culture was present in this area. Particularly, the site owes its name to the <strong>Trang An <\/strong>limestone massif. However, the <strong>Hoa Lu Ancient Capital<\/strong>, the <strong>Trang An-Tam Coc-Bich Dong Scenic Landscape<\/strong>, and <strong>the Hoa Lu Special-Use Forest <\/strong>are also significant locations of the complex. Interestingly, Trang An Landscape Complex is the youngest UNESCO World Heritage Site in Vietnam.
