While the <strong>Red bus R3 <\/strong>first goes to <strong>Nimman Road <\/strong>and then to <strong>Tha Pae Gate<\/strong>, the <strong>R3 Yellow bus<\/strong> first goes to Nimman Road to then proceeds to Tha Pae Gate. In addition, buses can be found just outside the Arrivals Hall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cost of the bus ticket is 20 THB and they run every half an hour from 6.30 am to 11.30 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please, <strong>NOTE <\/strong>that these buses <strong>have<\/strong> <strong>been<\/strong> <strong>suspended<\/strong> since the corona crisis, so, at the moment, you should consider other transport options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Taxi<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Taxi counters can be found in the <strong>Arrivals Hall of both terminals<\/strong>. Chiang Mai airport taxis have rates fixed by zone. Namely, a trip to the hotels downtown is fixed at around 150 THB. Travel time to the centre goes from 15 to 40 minutes. In addition, the taxi terminal is situated in the northern part of the terminal and some work 24\/7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Songthaew<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Songthaews to the city centre is one of the more convenient and cheaper solutions. You can flag down one of these <strong>red pickup trucks<\/strong> outside of the airport. They cost around 100 THB or less, to around 40 THB, all depending on the number of passengers. It should take 30 minutes to reach the centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Tuk Tuk<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In case you are travelling light, you can opt for a very popular means of transportation in Thailand, tuk-tuk, which is also available at the airport. The cost of a ride on these <strong>motorized tricycles<\/strong> to the airport is around 100-150 THB for two persons.
