It serves as one of the <\/span><strong>country\u2019s busiest air cargo centers<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as well as a <\/span><strong>charter airline destination<\/strong><b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has flights with a <strong>direct connections to Billund from more than <\/strong><\/span><strong>50 European destinations<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the airport is reachable from more than<\/span> <strong>530 destinations across the world<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>.<\/strong> It serves as a hub for <\/span><b>SUN-AIR<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> company, and, in average, handles <\/span><b>2.7 million passengers annually.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_get_from_Billund_Airport_to_Billund\"><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\">How to get from Billund Airport to Billund<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/><\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Local_Bus\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\"><b>Local Bus<\/b><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Almost all of the bus routes that depart from the airport make a stop in Billund. The bus stops for Legoland are called <\/span><b>\u2018\u2019Legoland\/Lalandia\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019 which is the entrance to Legoland, and <\/span><b>\u2018\u2019Billund, <\/b><b>\u00c5<\/b><b>stvej v hotellet\u2019\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which is the hotel. The travel time is a bit shorter and <\/span><b>the price of the ticket is the same.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you would like <\/span><b>to visit some other city<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the proximity of the airport, there is a good connection with bus lines. <\/span><b>Vejle <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is the largest city close to the airport, you can take a bus line <\/span><b>43<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span><b>143<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to get there. The journey takes<\/span><b> 30 or 45 minutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, depending on the line, and the price ticket is <\/span><b>60 DKK (~8 \u20ac)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> per person.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>NOTE: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the summer period, there is an option of <\/span><b>free Billund City Shuttle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which lets you explore the area. The shuttle bus runs between Billund Airport, the main attractions, places of accommodation and city center. The bus runs on regular basis, from Monday to Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Train\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\"><b>Train<\/b><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is<\/span><b> no railway which connects the airport and the city center<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, yet. The rail link is expected to be ready by 2020 and include stations at Billund Airport and near Legoland.
