Once the bus arrived it was clean and the driver navigated the 2 border crossings efficiently. My luggage was tagged and held securely in the hold for the entire trip. Even though I was picked up very late, we arrived on time in Split and I made my ongoing connection.
Th ebus station is Split is well signed and a good drop off location to make other connections....The bus arrived almost an hour late. The bus stop in Shkoder is on the outskirts of town with poor lighting and no signage. It felt dangerous and unsafe to be standing on the side of the road in an isolated position late at night as a single woman travelling alone. It would be so much better if the bus stopped in the main square of town where many other buses stop and there are restaurants and businesses around and open and there is more lighting and activity in the centre of town. Would not recommend for solo travellers.
