Drivers in this part of Europe are probably the best I have experienced. They mostly respect the speed limits, which is reassuring, and even though there are a lot of twists and turns in the Adriatic coast, their driving is fluid and makes the trip comfortable. This was the case again on this specific trip. I like the fact there are various breaks. I find it reassuring, this means the company takes care of its drivers and its clients. Drivers were very kind. They asked us if the air conditioning was fine for us, which it was. Far too often in the summer, we end up with freezing cold buses, it's like we have to bring our winter cloths and we end up having sore throats. So, that was nice. And overall, they were polite and kind with people. ... Lateness: we arrived in Split from Skopje with 3h30 late. The trip was already of 18h, which I can understand, the road is about 12h, when you add the breaks and the borders, it can add up quickly to 17-18 hours. Having said that, we had two breaks of 40 minutes among all the pauses. There is no need in my opinion for such long pauses. I think no matter the borders and traffic, we should have come to Split within the right timetable. I got late to a work commitment. Smoking: We have quite a few breaks, so there is plenty of opportunities for the drivers to smoke. The fact they smoked one cigarette after another on the bus is for me totally unacceptable. I felt a little sick at a certain moments, I know the south is more tolerant with smoking than the north, but customers should not have to put up with the smell or feeling sick.
