Hi, can tickets be purchased in eur or are we obliged to pay in Kunas ? 🙂
Ps. thanks for all the details! very helpful !!
Dear Chaimae,
if referring to a local bus or airport shuttle from the airport to Zadar, then yes, you need to pay in Kuna.
Best regards,

The post says that tickets can purchased aboard the airport bus. Can you pay with a credit card? If paying by cash, do you need the exact amount? Thanks!
Dear Dan,
if buying a bus ticket on the bus, you will have to pay in cash. It is not that necessary to have the exact amount, but keep in mind that the driver does not necessarily have a large amount of cash to be able to give you the change. 🙂
Best regards,
GBB Team
Hello, I’ll be at the airport on October 9 at 4:15 p.m. Are there any buses going to Zadar this time? Thanks jarka
Dear Jarka,
the current timetable of the airport shuttle is valid for September only.
The timetable for October will be available on the official website in a few days.
However, the shuttle bus usually operates till late evening hours, so no need to worry, it is very unlikely buses won’t be running at this time.

What time does the bus from city centre operates on Sunday 5/6/22 to the airport Zadar?
Hi Willem,
unfortunately, it’s not possible to know the timetable that much in advance. We suggest you keep following the official website of Liburnija bus company as they will publish the timetable about a week ahead.
Best,
GBB Team
We will arrive at the airpost on 28th May at 23:30. Would 30min be enough time to pass passport control and chatch the last bus of the evening? If the plane is delayed will the bus wait for 30min since landing or since the scheduled arrival time?
Hi Lucia,
if the flight arrives on time, that should be enough time to catch the bus.
However, it is always good to keep the alternative in mind such as a taxi. Taxis in Zadar are safe but we recommend asking for the price before the ride just in case.
Best,
GBB Team
How long does it take from the old town to the airport ? My flight is at 6.20 am and the earliest bus is at 4.30 am
Hi Vivien,
from the city center (Zadar Poluotok) you can take a bus (line 2) to the Zadar bus station, but this bus circles around the city so it takes around 15-20 minutes to get there. An alternative option is to take a taxi if carrying a lot of luggage.
Once you get to the bus station, you continue with an airport bus as described in the text. The overall journey takes at least 30 minutes (waiting time between buses not included).
Best,
GBB Team
Hi,
Does the Airport bus have a number? Or is it obvious that it is the bus to the airport and not a city bus?
Also, what is the approximate journey time between
the Old Town and the Airport?
Thanks for your help,
Craig
Hi Craig,
since there is only one bus line operating from the airport to the city, it won’t be difficult to find it.
You can also ask at the information desk for help, they will tell you the exact spot from where the bus departs.
Best,
GBB Team

Hi. I’ll be staying in Zadar Old Town, 5 mins walk from The Sea Organ. Does the airport bus transfer go near here, or stop on the other side close to The City Walls. I’m getting various advice, some saying it does stop at the city walls, others saying it stops at the main ferry port ,which would be a bit of a walk at night with suitcases. Thank
Hi Laura,
the shuttle bus goes to the main bus station in Zadar, which is about 5 mins (driving) from Poluotok/city centre.
Anyway, you can take a bus from the main bus station to Poluotok but it depends on how late you arrive.
I suggest considering a taxi as an alternative option.
Best,
GBB Team
