How to Get from Verona Airport to Verona
Several transportation options are available for getting from the airport to the city center. Below, we’ve listed the best ways to reach the amazing city of Verona.
Verona Airport Shuttle Bus
Verona Airlink’s Line 199 shuttle bus connects VRN directly to the Verona Porta Nuova train station, located in the town centre. Buses operate daily, departing approximately every 20 minutes from early morning until late evening, with slightly reduced frequency during early mornings and late evenings. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
- Tickets can be purchased online or at the airport and are valid for 75 minutes, allowing transfers to other local bus lines.
- On December 25 and January 1, the bus runs every 40 minutes.
- The service is accessible to passengers in wheelchairs.

Train
There is no direct train link from Verona Airport to the city center. However, the nearest train station is in Dossobuono, about 1 km from the airport. You can take a train to Verona Porta Nuova, the city’s main railway station. Additionally, from Verona Porta Nuova, you can catch regional and high-speed trains to cities across Italy.
Taxi Services
Taking a taxi from VRN is one of the most convenient options. Official taxis are available just outside the arrivals terminal and are clearly marked. They operate with regulated meters, so fares are based on distance, time of day, and traffic conditions. The ride to the city center typically takes 15–20 minutes, but can be longer during peak hours.
Ride-hailing services like Uber are not widely available in Verona. Locals typically rely on regional ride-hailing apps to get around, such as itTaxi or AppTaxi.
Transfer
Private airport transfers are a comfortable option for travelers who prefer a fixed-price ride with no waiting. You can book a car or van in advance, and a driver will meet you at the arrivals and take you directly to your destination. This is especially convenient for groups, families, or those traveling to places not well connected by public transport.

There is no dedicated currency exchange office at Verona Airport, but you’ll find several ATMs in the arrivals and departures areas. These allow you to withdraw euros using international cards. For better exchange rates, it’s often best to use ATMs or exchange money in the city.
The easiest way to reach the Verona city center from the airport is by taking the Aerobus shuttle. It runs every 20 minutes and connects the airport to Verona Porta Nuova train station in ~15 minutes. Wat is verschil tussen aerobus en stadsbus nummer 199 (behalve de prijs natuurlijk)?
Wat zijn de voordelen van de pendelbus?
Dear Lm,
Airport shuttle is a direct bus and local bus makes stops on the way to the city centre, thus it takes more time to get to the city than taking a shuttle bus.
Best regards!
Melani, GBB Team
I’m at Verona airport now and signs say it is 6 euros for the 199 bus, not 2 euros as stated on this website.

Hello there, could you please advise me how to best get from Verona airport to Mantova by bus or train? And which buses or trains should I catch?
Hi Sarah,
taking a train is the most convenient option.
However, if you choose to take a train from the airport, the nearest train station Dossobuono is about 2 km from the airport, so we suggest taking a taxi. From Dossobuono you can take a train directly to Mantova.
The other option is to take a bus to Verona city center first and then switch to a train to Mantova.
Best,
GBB Team

We’re flying in to Verona on the 3rd October, I’m trying to book our travel from the airport to Levico Terme. However we were hoping to spend some time in Verona before onward travel to Levico. If I book for set times on Omio.co.uk, for instance at 16:07 are we able to take an earlier shuttle bus to Verona Porta Nuova or is it set to the booked time?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Hi Jodie,
in most cases, when you book a certain departure, the ticket is valid for that departure only.
However, I suggest you contact the carrier directly to check with them.
Best,

Is there a shuttle bus available from Verona Airport to camping Bella Italia & if so how much is this per person?
Hi Lorrine,
you can reach the camping site by combining 2 bus lines.
Namely, the first thing you need to do is to catch a bus LN026 which will take you to Verona main station.
From there, you need to continue with bus line 199 all the way to Camping Bella Italia.
Best,
GBB Team
Is there a shuttle bus available from Verona Airport to camping hu altomincio family park, I would like to visit verona before travelling on, & if so how much is this per person?
Hi Diane,
there seems to be no direct connection between the airport and Altomicino Family Park.
However, it is possible to reach it by combining several means of transportation.
In all cases, you need to reach Verona Porta Nuova station. From there, I suggest you ask what would be the best option to reach the park. There arr buses and train that go into that direction, but none of them take you all the way to the park.
Also, consider taking a taxi as an alternative option.
Best,
GBB
Hi

Does the 199 bus stop anywhere near the Romeo & Juliet museum

I’m afraid it doesn’t. To reach the museum, it’s best to walk from the Verona Porta Nuova train station or take a taxi. The museum is located in the city centre near Juliet’s house.
