Find the information about how to get from the airport to the city listed below.

Bus

The only bus company operating from Jorge Chávez International Airport is Airport Express Lima. Buses run daily from 7:00 AM to midnight and stop at several major hotels and hostels in Lima, including Hotel Boulevard, DoubleTree, Maria Angola, Hilton, Larcomar, Jose Antonio, and Hostal Torreblanca. Tickets can be bought online, at the airport ticket booths, or directly from the driver.

Taxi

As in many places, it is important to take only official taxi services when leaving Jorge Chávez International Airport, as most scams tend to happen around airports.

Taxis in Peru do not use meters but operate on fixed fares, so it’s important to agree on the price before starting your ride. Having some basic Spanish skills can be helpful when negotiating the fare with the driver.

Uber and similar rideshare apps are banned at Lima Airport. Instead, you can book with companies like Airport Express Lima, CMV, Mitsoo, Taxi Green, and Taxi 365. Authorized taxi counters are available inside the terminal for easier and safer booking.

Transfer

If you wish to avoid all the hassle that comes with looking for a ride once you land, another way to travel in Lima is by booking a private, door-to-door transfer.

And the best part – you can book online in advance. You will be welcomed by a professional driver upon arrival and taken directly to your accommodation.

Car hire

If you plan to explore the city and get around on your own, you might consider hiring a car. Car rental services available at the airport are Alamo, Avis, Hertz, Budget, and International. Rental counters are located in both the domestic and international arrivals areas, with vehicles available within walking distance of the terminals.

However, if you wish to save time and avoid long queues, we recommend renting a car online. Note that driving in Lima can be challenging due to heavy traffic and different road conditions, so it’s important to be prepared and exercise caution.

Bus rental

Larger groups of passengers should consider renting a bus at the airport. However, it is recommended to book it online in advance so the bus rental companies have enough time to advise you on the meeting point and other necessary information.
