It would be REALLY helpful to know HOW much to offer the taxi wallah for the 11 kms from Podgorica airport, to Podgorica city.
Dear David,
Unfortunately, we do not have that kind of information, but taxi cost should not exceed more than 15€.

Hi,
I was in Podgorica three times last year. Official taxi at the airport costs EUR12, however, if you are able to arrange a private taxi, the cost should be more than EUR6.
Where can I arrange a private taxi?
Dear Daniel,
Taxi stand is located in front of the airport building. For all private transfers, please check the link.

Thank you very much for sharing this information. I just came from Podgorica and as I was concerned about how much is a taxi as I am a solo traveller, used the train station.
Lucky me I read another experiences first as when I arrived to the airport and ask to the information desk how to get to the ‘aerodrom station’ to go to Podgorica, all she said was ‘there is no train’. City is 15 kilometers. Only is possible by taxi. Even I told her. I read in a blog there is a train station called ‘aerodrom’ 15 minutes walking from here. How to get there please? Left side or right side? And she insisted there is no trains to go Podgorica city centrer and the only option was by taxi. Thank goodness, I ignored her and after 4 attempts asking to people, a kind gentleman told me. ‘left side. 10 – 15 minutes walking’.
That was 9th of July 2022. Hopefully another travellers who wish use the train don’t fall in the trap of that lady, desk information

Hello, there is a train from Podgorica Airport, the station iz called “aerodrom”. I got a taxi from airport to Podgorica because I was told there is no train. I understand why – airport service and taxi companies are collaborating and don’t have profit if they promote the train option. The main road to the airport doesn’t have pedestrian path so it is a little bit unconvenient to walk down the road with all that baggage.
But in retourn, I manage to catch the train from Podgorica. Just to let you know: Timetable from Podgorica train station to airport: 5:10, 7:55, 9:12, 12:11, 12:55, 15:30, 16:36, 19:13, 22:17. Valid for the summer season od August 2022.

I used the train from Aerodrom station to Podgorica on a Sunday afternoon in October 2022. It was 20 minutes late, no big deal when you save that much money. Just be prepared to wrestle with your luggage for more than 1km. It didnt bother me.
Hello!
On Saturday (11.02.2023), we would go by train from the Aerodrom station to Podgorica and then back.
– Are delays common?
– How much is the ticket on the train?
– Can we pay with credit card on the train?
Thank you for your help!
Tamas
Hi,
the price of the train ticket is up to 2 euros, depending on the class.
Prepare cash for the tickets as you can only buy the on board.
Regarding the delays, there can be some, especially because of weather conditions, technical issues etc.
If you want to make sure, we recommend checking with the railway operator for up-to-date information on train schedules and potential delays. Also, have in mind the weather forecast.
Best,
GBB Team
