Book your tickets in advance! If you’re traveling in peak season (June–September), ferries fill up fast. Direct catamarans from Split to Bol are super popular, so grab your tickets online early. If you miss out, don’t stress—you can always take the Split to Supetar ferry and hop on a bus or taxi to Bol.
Get to the ferry port early. Split ferry terminal is a madhouse in summer, and catamarans don’t have assigned seating. Get there at least 30 minutes before departure to snag a good spot.
Pick the right ferry. Want the fastest option? Take the direct catamaran (50 min). Traveling with a car or missed the catamaran? Take the Split to Supetar ferry and then a bus/taxi to Bol (45 min).
Check the weather. The Bura wind can mess with ferry schedules, especially for catamarans. If the sea is looking rough, check ferry updates online before heading out.
Pack the essentials. The ride is short, but don’t forget to bring sunscreen and sunglasses (if you’re sitting outside), cash for small purchases on board and seasickness pills if you don’t have the best sea legs.
Heading back the same day? Watch the schedule! The last ferry back to Split is usually around 6–7 PM. Don’t miss it unless you’re planning to stay the night!
Make the most of Bol! Once you arrive, you can relax at Zlatni Rat Beach, one of Croatia’s most famous spots, hike up Vidova Gora for breathtaking Adriatic views, or sip some local wine at Stina Winery, right by the sea.
Missed the ferry? No worries. If everything’s full, take the Makarska to Sumartin ferry and grab a bus or taxi from Sumartin to Bol.
