Arrive early — boarding is first come, first served. Even with a ticket, ferries on the Split–Rogač route can fill up quickly during summer. Be at the terminal at least 30 minutes before departure to ensure you board and get a seat you like.
Book tickets online to skip the line. You can easily reserve your ticket through platforms like Traveling.com (how convenient, right?). It saves time and gives you peace of mind during busy travel days.
Tickets don’t guarantee boarding if you're late. If you arrive too late and the ferry is full, you may have to wait for the next one. Booking early helps — but arriving early is just as important.
Choose between car ferries and fast catamarans. The Split–Rogač route is served by both car ferries and passenger-only catamarans. Car ferries take about 60 minutes, while catamarans are faster, completing the journey in approximately 30 minutes.
Limited or no snacks onboard. Some ferries offer drinks or light snacks, but not always. Best to bring your own water and something to nibble on — especially if you’re traveling with kids.
Best views? Sit on the right. On your way to Rogač, the right side (starboard) gives you views of the Dalmatian coast and nearby islands as you sail out of Split.
