Catch the direct catamaran. Jelsa Split route is served by a direct passenger-only catamaran, typically operated by Krilo. It is direct and it takes around 1 hour 35–50 minutes to reach Split.
Timing matters. In peak season, there's often just one Jelsa Split ferry departure per day, usually mid-afternoon (e.g. 16:30). If that’s too late for you, consider a Split → Stari Grad ferry or taxi combination instead.

The best views? The right side (starboard) gives you the best look at Brač, the mainland coastline, and Split as you approach the port and on the left side you’ll mostly see open sea and the southern horizon.
